Mediators trained by the CoRe Group Foundation receive free training from Bob Stains of the Public Conversations Project on skills of reflection and inquiry. These are essential skills for mediators to have in their tool kit in order to deepen the facilitation process. One significant skill that mediators found important is the Think-Write-Speak (TWS) methodology where dialogue participants are allowed time to reflect on a set of questions carefully crafted to enhance the ability to share and the deepen the substance of the sharing.
The course is organized by the National Center for Mediation, Conflict Resolution Group Foundation, Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative and sponsored by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mediation and dialogue are among the methodologies strongly promoted by the PCCI to businesses across the country to address issues that affect their operations. “The foundation of business is relationships, and mediation strengthens this foundation with principles of communication, collaboration and shared vision” explains Mia Corpus, SVP of the NCM and Executive Director of the CoRe Group.
