Negotiation is a fundamental skill for all. However, the lack of proper skills and tools have made negotiation exercises seemingly distributive rather than collaborative. In this module, trainees are exposed to an integrative way of dealing with situations that require negotiations. They shall be introduced to essential skills that will enhance the way they deal with others at the bargaining table. They will imbibe the mindset that negotiations also involve managing conflict in order to further improve relationships.
This workshop brings together management and labor groups to learn concepts and practice skills on collaborative communications, consensus-building and joint problem solving in a safe classroom environment. A unique component of this program is the Relationship by Objectives module where management and labor jointly develop a framework for problem solving that will serve as their foundation for all types of negotiations.
This course introduces participants to a new and more positive way of relating with peers in the workplace. The communications tool builds on the innate ability of humans for compassion. It is a tool used not only for the workplace but for building communities, as well.
