Civility is described in general terms as a social behavior characterized by formality, self-control and politeness. Placed in the context of a workplace environment, it becomes a powerful framework for behavior that parties may adhere to in managing stressful situations. This program aims to introduce innovative tools, strengthen skills and develop a unique mindset that will allow one to relate better with people, help nurture an environment of positivity and give people the confidence to negotiate for a win-win solution.
The Civility in the Workplace Program is anchored from the CoRe Group’s highly-rated Values-based Programs that believe that genuine collaborative relationships come from a deeper understanding of people involved. This program is designed for both employers and employees who wish to maintain a positive and productive relationship. This is not merely for those organizations that are currently experiencing difficulties in their organization. It is also for those who are working well but see the need to forge a stronger relationship.
Negotiation is a fundamental skill for all. However, the lack of proper skills and tools have made negotiation exercises seemingly distributive rather than collaborative. In this module, trainees are exposed to an integrative way of dealing with situations that require negotiations. They shall be introduced to essential skills that will enhance the way they deal with others at the bargaining table. They will imbibe the mindset that negotiations also involve managing conflict in order to further improve relationships.
This workshop brings together management and labor groups to learn concepts and practice skills on collaborative communications, consensus-building and joint problem solving in a safe classroom environment. A unique component of this program is the Relationship by Objectives module where management and labor jointly develop a framework for problem solving that will serve as their foundation for all types of negotiations.
This course introduces participants to a new and more positive way of relating with peers in the workplace. The communications tool builds on the innate ability of humans for compassion. It is a tool used not only for the workplace but for building communities, as well.
This full program covers all facets of employee relations development. The course runs for 40-hours where mindsets are prepared for creating an organizational culture of empowerment, respect and accountability. Each program is customized to the needs of every organization.
